BUILT BY ATHLETES.
NOT A SUPPLEMENT COMPANY.
PODIUM wasn't started in a lab. It was started by an endurance athlete who got tired of reading ingredient lists that looked like chemistry homework.
We built the Engine first — an app that calculates exactly how much fuel you need and coaches you through it in real time. It works with any gel, any chew, any brand. But while testing it on our own long runs, we kept asking the same question: why does this gel have 12 ingredients when it only needs 3?
So we made the fuel we wished existed.
THE LINEUP.
Two ways to fuel. Same philosophy. Real food. Nothing else.
YIELD 01: BUTTERSCOTCH
Rich, warm, caramel-forward. Built around pure maple syrup with sea salt.
Maple Syrup | Sea Salt | Honey
Honey is deployed strictly as a natural crystallization inhibitor to maintain optimal fluid consistency across varying temperatures. It is a structural component, not a primary flavor agent.
YIELD 02: SWEET CREAM
Smooth, clean, vanilla-forward. Honey and maple syrup with real vanilla extract.
Maple Syrup | Honey | Vanilla Extract | Sea Salt
Engineered with natural vanilla to cut the intensity of the raw carbohydrate matrix, resulting in a highly palatable profile designed for high-frequency intake.

BEFORE YOU ASK.
During hard exercise, your gut is already under stress — blood flow is diverted to your muscles, and your digestive system is running at reduced capacity. The simpler your fuel, the less work your body has to do to process it. Most commercial gels contain 8–14 ingredients, including preservatives and stabilizers your body doesn't need in that moment.
Honestly, you can. Honey is a natural source of both glucose and fructose, which means it feeds both of your gut's absorption pathways. Add salt for sodium and you've got a functional gel. We even published a guide on our blog for making your own. Pulse exists for athletes who want that same simplicity in a pre-portioned, ready-to-carry format that's consistent every time.
Ingredients. Most commercial gels use maltodextrin as the primary carb source alongside various additives to manage texture, shelf life, and taste. Pulse uses honey and maple syrup — real food carb sources — plus sea salt. The science says your body needs carbs, sodium, and water. We stopped at what the science says.
We're still refining flavors and testing in real training conditions. Pricing hasn't been announced yet. Join the waitlist and you'll be the first to know on both.
No. Pulse is a standalone gel. The app works with any fuel brand, and Pulse works without the app. They're built by the same team but designed to be independent — use one, the other, or both.
